Joseph Cole Jr. 

Head of Operations, FSL Company Limited

Our former scholarship holder Joseph Cole Jr. studied Agricultural Education (BA) in Njala, Sierra Leone and Landscape Ecology and Nature Conservation (MA) in Greifswald. During and after his bachelor's degree, he worked as a project supervisor at Deutsche Welthungerhilfe. Since 2015 he has also taken on local project support for our association on site. In 2019, he took over the management of the office of FSL Company Limited, which is registered as the local representative office of the association in Sierra Leone. Joseph Cole Jr. monitors the orderly execution and progress of the projects and provides regular reports on these matters to management.

Adama Tokoh Bendu 

Social Worker, Girls Empowerment

Adam Tokoh Bendu, born in Sierra Leone, is a teacher by profession holding the equivalent certificate from Bo Teachers College and a BSc first class degree in Home Economics Education from Njala University Mokonde Campus. For more than 19 years, Mrs. Bendu has worked as a teacher and continued to enrich her professional background through experiences working with various NGOs. In 2019, Mrs. Bendu joined the FSL Girls Empowerment Program as a part-time social worker. As such, she works closely with our scholars, organizes program activities, communicates with the student’s parents, and supports the girls in their personal and professional development and growth. 

Mrs. Bendu has gained a lot of experiences at FSL and particularly enjoys working with the girls.

Isatu Koroma  

Operational Program Leader, Girls Empowerment

Mrs. Isatu Koroma studied Social Work at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. In the course of her career, she has worked on various programs centred around community development, women and girls empowerment, youth development, early childhood and education. With more than 6 years of experience working with organizations focused on development, gender, and human rights, she is a multi-skilled employee . Mrs. Koroma joined our organisation in December 2022 as the operational program lead for the Girls Empowerment Project. Her tasks include preparing budgets, writing reports and presentations, developing new project ideas, planning, and implementing life skill sessions, as well as building our local network.  

Mrs. Koroma enjoys working for FSL because she believes that empowered women and girls contribute to the health and productivity of their families, communities, and the country.
