From Spain to Sierra Leone

Covering more than 5,000 km, Tim Kremer's route will take him across eight West African countries and through the Sahara, the world's largest desert.

Starting in October 2025, Tim Kremers`s funraising cycling journey will cover roughly 5,000 km – taking him through Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, and Guinea, and finally on to Freetown, Sierra Leone, where he is expected to arrive in mid-December 2025. With every kilometer, he aims to draw attention to the work of Für Sierra Leone e.V. and raise donations for the FSL Secondary School in Waterloo. Here, we provide children from the Madamba community with access to quality education and open the door to brighter futures.

Donations from this campaign will support four key priorities at the FSL Secondary School in 2026:

  1. Internet access for the school for the entire year 2026
  2. Funding for one teacher, including all related costs (salary, lunch, administration, insurance)
  3. School meals for 20 children for three months
  4. A school fund to cover tuition fees for 60 particularly disadvantaged students

You can support the campaign through our donation page on betterplace.org or directly via bank transfer (please include the relevant reference).

A contribution of just 50 euros is sufficient to cover the annual school fees for one child for a whole year. Every donation – regardless of size – plays a vital role in supporting access to education for children in Sierra Leone.

You can follow Tim’s journey on LinkedIn, Instagram, and our website, where we will be providing regular updates on his progress. We kindly encourage you to share his initiative within your networks to help us raise awareness and reach an even broader audience.
